Central Passage
ISAIAH 53:6
Description

“To each his own,” or “Each to his own”—however the popular phrase is worded, the meaning remains: Each of us has the right to his or her own opinions, appetites, intentions, and activities. The main point of this idiom is that we are to give each other plenty of room to live according to our own preferences, whether for meals or morals. This mentality is affecting outreach with and response to the Gospel. We start this series with the first of three messages from Isaiah 53:6, following along with Isaiah’s imagery of lost sheep, looking at two key points: the separation in straying and the foolishness in straying. And we should finish with a fresh appreciation for being found.
