We must not confuse being loving and respectful with helping people avoid the discomfort of conviction under the clear call of God to repent from sin against Him. In the concern to cultivate a sense of endearment, many are neglecting a sense of urgency in the Gospel. As we look more into John's preaching, we see urgency in the call to the Lord and urgency in response to the call.
